Question about Acer PC Desktops
reattach the dvd ram to ide slot again check its power supply.
then check in bios setup that your dvd ram i sdetedct or not.
if detect then if u not abnle to seen in windows then go to myt computer properties then device manager.then right clik any object then u see scan for hardware changes then uddate your dvd ram driver thats it.

you might have to physically unplug the leads for this cd/dvd restart your computer then plug them back this should activate the found new hardware wizard
if your computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it
click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll down cd dvdrom drives if you see a yellow question or exclamation mark? ! or a red x right click you will need to update the driver
if you dont have motherboard disk you will need to download the drivers
