Question about Gateway FPD2275W LCD Monitor
I am trying to attach an ACER 1751 monitor to my Dell Dimension desktop. No cables came with the monitor (it was a hand-me-down). I have attached the VGA hookup from the org Dell monitor over to the ACER. I have horizontal lines moving across the screen and there is a large swath (approx 1.5") on the left side of my screen that is black, resulting in my not being able to see the entire page. I am missing probably an inch on the right.
I have the org GForce Nvidia (??) video card that came with the machine.
I can't find anything on this monitor aside from the original question, here. Would finding the DVI-D cable and hooking it up that way solve my problem? Or can I leave the VGA hookup and do some adjustments on my system?
Any thoughts appreciated.
Try going into Start - Control panal - add new hardware. First let windows look for itself ;then If it doesn't find the monitor then tell it monitor and see if it will find the correct driver for it. Worth a try.
