Plugged in dishwasher and seems to be leaking from the bottow
We bought a dishwasher from friends of us and took it home over the weekend. After attatching it to all the pipes etc water was coming out of the bottom. Having left the machine for a while, to see if this leak was just water that was still in the dishwasher, we put it onto a rinse programme and nothing leaked and all seemed fine. Having not left the machine overnight however, water again seems to have come from the bottom of the machine, it is only a little bit, but it should not happen.
Can anyone please advise what this could be and how to fix it

I understand your Electrolux dishwasher, model# EWDW6505GS, seems like it is not receiving power to the control panel. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging your appliance or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 20-30 minutes. Restore power and try any cycle. If you are still not receiving any lights, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your appliance and determine what is causing your control panel to not have power.. Hope this is helpful.

You could have a defective fill valve that is not shutting off properly. Look for a fill inlet opening somewhere on the inside casing of the wash tub. Usually it is on the left hand side of the machine looking in. While the dishwasher is sitting idle, watch the fill valve opening to see if water is leaking in. It could be a minor as just a drip. However, over a period of several hours you could end up with a wash tub full of water. Over a weekend with no one home, it could overflow onto the floor. The valve usually cannot be repaired and would require replacing. Good luck.
