Are you using cartridges that have been refilled? If so I would go buy brand new HP ink cartridges or I would find known working but used cartridges and try again. The ink cartridges on any inkjet type printer are not made to be refilled and if you were to call HP about this problem they would tell you to replace the ink cartridges with new ones and try again.

Dell v305 printer allignment problem

Hello Michelle,

You are using Dell Series 9 ink cartridges, correct?

If you unplug the printer from the wall and remove the power brick for 60 seconds, this will reset any error messages the printer has. I would then plug everything back in.

Power on the printer.

Open the printer(with the power on) and take out the Dell Series 9 black cartridge and then reseat it. I would then take out the color Dell Series 9 ink cartridge and reseat it. Now close the printer and it will print an alignment page.

Any error messages?

black cartridge = black side(left side) color cartridge = color side(right side)
photo cartridge = black side(left side) color cartridge = color side(right side)

It's possible to get a Dell Series 9 ink cartridge with a bad sensor. I would take these back to the place of purchase for a replacement.

There are many videos on you tube to clean the cartridges. They are pretty good. One additional suggestion remove all cartridges and use any good contact cleaner to wipe the contacts on all the cartridges well. Your black cartridge may be just blocked. One of the videos suggested making a cleaner with household ammonia and isopropyl alcohol. Put it onto a lint free tissue on the pad and let the head soak in it for a day or two and run the cycle again.

Ummm ... "rubbing alcohol" contains oil.

When i started to print it always gets errors ..always appears "cancel printing"..

Possible that there are errors in the software and so needs a reset. So remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and connect the Printer to be detected and installed. Check printer properties to see the ink levels.
Use head cleaning before a test is taken . It is possible that the head is not reacting to the need of the command , can be an issue with ink drying , can
also be poor ink cartridge contacts

My HP Photosmart C6380 All in one printer , won't print. It reads ink system failure. With a code 0xc19a0036 Could you tell me what might be wrong.

The product displays a '0x ... ' error message. The exact text of the error varies by product, but it is usually preceded by the word 'Error .' c01733891.gifImportant: If your error message includes the words 'ink system failure ,' check your cartridges before reading this document. If you use any of the following cartridges, refer instead to 'Ink System Failure' Message Displays on the Control Panel (c01458034) (in English) to solve this error: Solution one: Reset the product
  1. Without turning off the product, disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the product.
NOTE: The USB cable connects to the port on the back of the product. The port is labeled with the USB icon (c01424575.gif ). Figure 2: Example USB connection (your product might not look exactly the same as this example)c01651067.gif
  2. Remove the cartridges from the product.
  3. Wait for the 'Insert Cartridges ' message to display on the control panel.
  4. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
  5. Wait 60 seconds.
  6. Reconnect the power cord. If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button (c01602202.gif ).
  7. Reinsert the cartridges, and then close any open doors on the product.
  8. If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.
  9. Reconnect the USB cable to the rear of the product, and then try printing again.
Solution two: Service the product If you have completed all the steps listed above and are still experiencing a problem, service the product.

I have a F-4210 Deskjet printer (HP) that was working properly ,and the ink level is well above the half mark when suddenly it stoped printing and indicated that it was a incompatible cartridge.?

This is the type of problem that occurs with aftermarket cartridges. If it is an aftermarket cartridge, I would replace the cartridge giving the false reading. The best solution is to use and OEM cartridge to clear the problem.
If you can, take the balking cartridge back to the vendor and get a replacement.

The solution center shows a question mark on both ink cartrages, and says no comutaion with the printer.

Take the cartridges off and check the connections. Make sure that there is no dust or debris on the contacts. Also take some Alcohol on a swab and clean both areas with it. I would recommend a clean swab for each contact so you do not cross contaminate the leads. When you put the cartridges back in make sure that they seat all the way. I know that there are some cases where the cartrages look like they are seated properly but not.

I love this site because it helps people and because Ya is the hebrew word for God.

but unfortuneately ( and pardon my roman terminology ) your problem does not really have a solution
other than a replacement of the ink carridge. which may cost you too much.

printers are an especialy tuff problem when they break down.

1. always print out something at least every other day so that your ink flows properly and doesn't get dried out.

2. Always remove and store your ink cartridges in a sealed plastic container if you plan to not use your printer for a while, that will help prevent things from drying up and clogging up.

3. Never use alcohol in an attempt to clean the printer head or cartridges , it will only make matters worse and will dry things up real bad.
