I have the same problem with my Advent ADE-EMB1, it worked fine for about 5 days then gradually got less and less reliable until it stopped working altogether. I've tried replacing the batteries and pressing the reset button but nothing makes a difference - the red light on the mouse and blue light on the receiver are on so I don't think it's a power issue. Any helpful advice or is it likely to just be a faulty mouse?

Make sure you have the correct software installed for it or else it will not work. The computer will not recognize it until the correct software is installed.

I have a honeywell cm927 control unit, and the red light on the receiver keeps flashing. i can manually turn the boiler on and off at the HC6ONG receiver. i've tried the faqs in the manual but to no joy....

The red flashing light means that there is an issues with the RF comms between control unit and receiver. You can reset by switching the boiler off and back on and then re-sending the temperature signal. You need to check batteries in you thermostat and also the position as the signal could be interfered with or it may be too far away from the receiver.

No, the usb feed coming from computer to mouse is keeping the light on. check for the usb port as around 5v of current flows across it...

Refilled my starter cartridge ML-2240 and put in new reset fuse

Did you change the chip? These cartridge have a chip that tells the printer it has received it's new toner. You can get the chips cheap from a variety of sources online. Just search for samsung 2240 reset chip.
Good Luck

I have a Microsoft Wireless Desktop Receiver 3.1 unit which works both my keyboard and Wireless Laser Mouse 5000. My mouse is not working and I've changed the batteries 3 times. Can I buy a replacement...

I have the same system. Mouse can be ordered, but not easily. Make sure mouse is not working.... i almost made tour same mistake. In my case, the mouse plug (from computer to wireless receiver) had become unhooked. All i could see is that mouse was communicating with wireless receiver but appeared to be frozen. If you can reset receiving channel, and see that receiver acknowledges presence of mouse, you may have my same problem. Also, if you can see that the laser light is working, mouse is probably ok, and batteries are good.

Microsoft Wireless 4000 Mouse - No Red Light on Base

The red laser light stopped working on mine and it turned out to be the connetion between the battery tray and the circuit board. There is a metal tab on the circuit board and a matching one on the battery tray. When the battery tray slides in correctly the two tabs touch and viola (!), my red laser light came back on. Maybe one tab or the other got bent when I slammed the tray in crooked when replacing a battery- who knows.

MS wireless notebook mouse 3000 not working?

A friend of mine brought me this problem with exactly the same problem. here is what I found. The small notch in usb device socket under the mouse was malfunctioning. If you press this notch you will find the mouse red light blink. If you further try pressing this notch at some point the mouse red light comes on constantly. Thats it, hold it there and try to connect first by pressing the usb device connect switch and then the mouse connect switch. The moment the connection is made the usb device stops blinking and the red light on the mouse starts blinking. Wow, it works now. Some one might just open the mouse and fix this microswtich for a permanent solution.
