Question about Washing Machines
My machine will not operate on any programme despite the red light being on. Is it possible that it could be the programmer selector knob is not working correctly. It seem's to go around perfectly OK or is more likely that it will not operate because the door catch is faulty and therefore nothing at all will operate? If so do you know anywhere I can get the instructions pn how to replace either or these items on the machine.
If not starting at all, fault is probably the door interlock - easy to replace.
disconnect from mains.
prise off the plastic clamp holding door seal to cabinet and peel back the seal in the area of the door interlock.
interlock is held by 2 screws from the outside and remove these so interlock comes away. remove electrical plug and socket connection and remove the small diameter hose at the bottom of the interlock. interlock can now be removed completely.
refitting is just the reverse.
