Hey, some keys are not pressing, and the cursor is out of control

If it is possible try and restore the PC to an earlier set date. If this wont work then connect a USB/ remote keyboard so that the fault is establised of the laptops keyboard.
If not remove the keyboard from teh mother board clean the contacts and connections before it is set back tight.

Remote usb control & softwere

With windows XP you do not need a driver, and there are none available; I had no luck finding a manual or any tech info online - you could possibly get the info from Pacific Image; Contact PI Via... TEL: 505-424-0384 Live Support Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Mountain Time FAX: 310-618-8200 Email: It appears that you cannot control the player from the computer. Cat 5 is an ethernet networking standard, not suitable for direct USB connection - you have to have the usb connected to and driven by one pc, then you could network it through the cat 5 to as many PCs as your router/hub allows. In extremis, you could potentially modify cat 5 wiring to run a USB signal, but you would not be able to then use the cable for ethernet networking. The USB interface is not able to deal with long or unsuitable cable runs. Hope this helps :)

Hi i have a problem when i connect any u.s.b mouse or internet modem the machine hangs what is the problem

Is this happening with all the USB ports on your laptop? If it happens on all of your USB ports it's possible the host controller was overloaded at some point and has simply been burned out. This is one of those problems that need to be seen by a technician unless you have a high degree of computer knowledge.

You can start with the Device Manager found in the control panel. If there's a yellow (!) next to any of the hardware listed, you're missing a driver.

If all the drivers are in place there's a possibility you have a damaged connector and it's causing a short when you connect anything to that port (if this happening in only one or two ports). And just because you have one problem doesn't mean you don't have two.

Setting up a Harmony 659 universal remote without original remote

Hi. Chances are the commands for your TV are already in the Harmony database. All you would need to do is add the TV to your remote and it should work.

1. In the software, click 'Add Device.'
2. Enter in the model number, etc.
3. Update the remote

I have a hp pavilion dv5ooo, I want to know if possible connect my laptop to a remote display and how can I do it? Thanks for your help!!

One of the Microsoft PowerToys - Remote Display Control - v2.03 that will allow you to display on your PC your PocketPC screen when it's connected (using TCP/IP, this can be the cradle, a modem or a network card).
You can also work on your PocketPC from your PC screen with a zoomed view in 480x640 or 720x960.
The bad thing is the refresh time that is a bit slow, even with USB.
If You want to connect only Monitor (LCD/CRT) to the laptop use VGA-Cable (D-Sub) ... That's all! Enjoy!

Harmony 688 doesn't establish USB connection

Shake the remote, is it rattling? If so the usb plug on the remote has come loose from the circuit board. Very common problem with Harmony Remotes, especially if it has been dropped.

Is the 550 a learning remote ?

It is not possible to put this remote into learning mode until after you hook it up to the computer.

The ease of this remote is to be able to hook it to the computer to program it. Its simple and easy, all you need is your device model numbers and its good to go.
