Hi,

There is a problem with Audio Architrech as well as Audi Mixure missconfiguration..
You need to restructure entire Audio Architech.

below is the link.

http://www-ccrma.stanford.edu/~nando/linux/sounddriver

Use that commands and script, It would definately resolve your problem.

Karik

I will assume that when you say bad sound, you mean that your sound is distorted. Your problem is most likely that your mixer setting are too high on either the input, output or both. Linux (ALSA or OSS) will allow you to drive the chipset (ALC655) at 100% and the auto detect will often set the sound card input and output at 100%. If you turn down the mixer controls (especially the input), your sound should clear up.

Another note on the the ALC655, it is not one of the better chipsets from Realtek and it is not well supported under Linux. If you need more information, please post the distribution and version of Linux you are using.

Hi,
I had the same thing happen when I first installed it.
It has to do with the gain control that is being out of watever SW your useing. mess around with the input gain, volume gain, format input...Take an hour or so to see how it reacts to setting every on the low end of every thing.
If that doesnt work go to your device manager and see if has been installed...then uninstall, or repair, then reinstall...you can see how everything is formated and the Drives too.

Try installing updated driver for the Soundcard. You may go tothe Manufacturer's website or you can simply search for the driver online using your soundcard's model number.

Need to find the right graphic driver for motherboard

Hi,

There are 2 basic versions of the Gigabyte GA-8I865GVMK motherboard; Socket 775 & 478. The socket 775 has 2 versions (Rev. 1.0 & Rev. 1.1) Please be reminded that drivers are very OS specific and must conform to the model/version and revision of the particular motherboard.

Drivers are:
Socket 775
GA-8I865GVMK-775 (Rev 1.0)
GA-8I865GVMK-775 (Rev 1.1)

Socket 478
GA-8I865GVMK

Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
