Ok i had bridged my amp and then the right chanel dosent work and the left one does what is up with that?
also because only one chanel works i use it. i have a kicker 12" L7. should i upgrade to a hifonics brutus 1600 or a kicker 750??? cause my amp only works on 1 chanel

Hi, I think in most amps switching to bridge mode simply means the amp supplies its total power through the left channel only. It's the best way to use all of your amp's power but nothing comes out of the right channel. Having speakers connected to both channels would simply mean that only the Left channel works, it would not blow it. Some amps have the speakers wired to binding posts and this varies according to whether you want mono, stereo or bridged. I can't help with the power board sorry
for better power yes one ohm but amp must be 1 ohm stable.and both subs will have to be 4 ohm subs to get the 1 ohm needed .If its a class D amp both speakers outs are bridged internally so either is ok to use look see if there is a bridging line on speakers that runs from one side to other and will say bridging. if not any side will work.a manu would help you find yours or you can look one up online.al
You need to determine if the fault is in the pre-amp section or power amp part. Look around for damaged or burnt parts. If you turn up the volume on the left channel and you hear a weak signal then the pre-amp will be OK. If not then start with that section. Remember the right channel will be the same as the left so compare the parts. If it looks odd in the left it might be the faulty part!
You can apply the Buzz test! Being careful not to touch the power supply parts, touch the two channels in various places with a srewdriver. On the right you should get a buzz showing the signal is there, so touch the left in the same place! And so on...PS don't short anything with the screwdriver!
Your question appears under the product listing for the Dual XPA4100 but the in the text you say the amp is actually a Jensen, so it's not possible to provide specific connection information.
But most bridgeable amps can be connected to a single subwoofer and the other two channels used to drive a set of regular speakers. I'd connect the front speakers to channels 1 and 2 and wire the subwoofer to the bridge connections of channels 3 and 4. On the XPA4100, the bridge terminals are the first (negative) terminal on channel 4 and the last (positive) terminal on channel 3.
I recommend you swap your left and right input cables to make sure it's not a source issue.
So from your headunit, plug the left channel output into your amps right input and your right channel output into your amps left input.
If the same side is still not working then disconnect both (or single speaker if it bridged) the speakers from the not working side at the amp. Connect the front and then the rear speakers individually and retest to see if one of them works.
If one does work then check the cabling and speaker connections on the one that doesn't. If it's shorting out anywhere it will stop your amp from powering that channel.
Failing that, it could just be that your amp has partly failed.

Unless your amp is 1 (one) ohm stable then you may have fried it. When you attach a 2 ohm load across a bridged amp then you have effectivly placed each output channel on a 1 ohm load. Not a good thing in most cases. Try hooking up ONE speaker on one channel and one input to that one channel one at a time. Then switch the speaker/input to the other channel and see if you can get either or both channels to work independently. Needless to say you must turn the amp off before you make ANY change in the wiring.
