How can i secure my linksys router without my username and password?

with the installation CD or by pressing the button if there is one on the front.
if you forgot the login/pass it is
login = blank password = admin
you can reset your router if that doesn't work by holding the reset button on the back for 30 seconds.
then you can login to it with internet explorer browse to http://192.168.1.1
click on wireless
choose wireless security and select wpa personal.
create a passphase that you will use to join your wireless network with any wireless device.

All Linksys routers have a built-in web-based setup page that allows the user to customize settings and set up advanced properties.

NOTE: Before accessing the router's web-based setup page, make sure the router is powered on and the computer is wired to one of the Ethernet ports on the router (1, 2, 3 or4 ).

Step 1:
Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer.

Step 2:
Go to the Address bar and enter your router's IP address ("192.168.1.1" is the default IP of most Linksys routers) then press [Enter].

NOTE : For WRP400, the default IP address would be "192.168.15.1" and if you place the router behind a primary router with the IP address of "192.168.15.1", then the router will automatically assume a new default IP address, "192.168.16.1".

Step 3:
A new window will prompt for a User name and Password. Leave the User name field blank then enter your router's password ("admin" is the default password), then click OK.

Trying to get cd download for linksys can't find it on site

1) Install the wireless card to your new computer first (if doesn't have any)
2) See the status of your network, go to wireless network
3) Select your wireless network and select "connect"
4) Put your WEP key (if any)

You don't need have access to your wireless router in order to get connected,
only you have to know is your wep password or key (if any) -

If you don't have any key or pass you only must to kit "connect" and that's it.
