In windows this is done through diskmgmt.msc (disk management) but if you change the file system (NTFS) you will lose all data on that drive or partition.

My laptop toshiba i5, where i find hardware radio to enable wifi

Sorry, to be able to answer your question, one needs to know the exact model number. My Toshiba Portege i5... has a switch on the front left side, near the blinking LEDS. There is an image of an antenna near it. As to yours, I cannot say: I do know the exact model number.

Toshiba portege m100 hardwares not starting

Yes the CMOS battery needs to be changed. Then you can go into the BIOS and set the Date & Time.
The CMOS/BIOS will be set back to the defaults when you remove the CMOS battery and this may fix your problems.

When I turn on the toshiba portege 2000 the laptop is on but do not show any thing on the monitor (black)

while your computer is turned-off, connect an external monitor then turn on your laptop. if you see a display on the external monitor, that means you have either bad LCD, bad CFL or video connector. All of them are hard to fix so I would recomment to just order the whole LCS assembly from ebay.

Wehn you power up the computer press F1 or F2 or 'del" key to enter in bios then check there your harddisk is detected or not.
Also check sata is disable.
then save settings and exit.
This error comes becasue of your harddisk is not detected proeprly .

Computer boots up then shows windows 98 scrren

you may face either harddisk failure, a driver problem or virus infection:

tools: original win98-cd (or a bootable image

version of it), antivir-software on cd!

- please check whether it is possible to boot from win98-cd, with cd-rom support, not from harddisk.

(such option should be availabe after bios-load is over)

if not:

leave the setup process without fully installing
(press F3 button when asked for repair or install option)

in both cases :

type at the dos-prompt:

c:\win98/win

(command for changing to harddisk, windows-folder, booting windows from harddisk, but without loading all the drivers as usually)

win98 should come up in protected mode or give error messages.

- access cd-drive and execute vir-scan.
- delete and/or repair infected files
- turn down, attempt to reboot from hd
- if still impossible reboot from win98-cd,
run repair of installation and try once again
standard boot

problem solved? if not, take down error messages consult fixya again!

Toshiba portege 7100 serise laptop,,, dont know password

Can you press F2 and DEL lots of times to get the BIOS menu up?
If so then does it ask for a password?
If so then you have a BIOS password set. Unless you can boot the laptop to DOS or from a CD it is difficult to bypass this.
The other way is to disconnect all batteries - including the one inside the chassis and then leave it for at least 1 hour.
Then connect it up again and see if the pasword is reset,
