Question about InFocus Proxima UltraLight X350 Multimedia Projector

Broken Fans You seem to know what you are doing so I figured I would ask you. My Proxima X350 has lots of life left on it and it simply powers off after around a minute. I am fairly confident that the problem is the fans turning off. They start up at first and then all three of them shut down for a second and then one starts back up and the other two stay off. Somewhere online I saw that I could fix this problem by an alternate power source for the fans. Is this the best idea and if so how would you do it or is there an easier way to fix it.

No. try moving the temperature sensors (follow the 2 black wires) to a cooler location. or sever them and jumper the wires. if the sensor is failing, it'll tell the fans to stop or always go.

My Proxima Ultralight X350 will not power on at all. The bulb is good and the power cord looks fine.

if the fans don't even come on, the power supply is bad. if the fans do but nothing else, the colorwheel is bad. either way, unfortunately, you can't get parts for these anymore (unless you find one on ebay).

ASK M3 shutdown

if the fans are running too slow, it'll shut down. it needs the fans to run at a certain speed to get enough cfms to ensure proper cooldown. if one is lagging, the lamp or power supply may not cool enough and cause damage. find out which one.

Need to replace proxima x350 fans

there are no part number because there are no parts available. but if you are getting an overheating message, move the sensor for the front fan or remove it altogether (cut it off, jumper the wires, and tape them up well. and make sure they are away from the fan).

Proxaima ultralight x350 light turning off

Hello fellows,
I have the same problem with my projector (Proxima UltraLight X350). I have the firmware v1.34.
On my projector, I found a workarround : if I press the 'top arrow' button on the projector at the message prompt, this one simply disapears and the projector works for hour. The drawback is the red led that don't stop blinking.
Can you cooperate and tell us if this solution worked on your projector ? Please also join the firmware version (found in the service menu, with the lamp life).
Cordially,
Tristan
