Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer
To deactivate the control lock feature, press and hold drain/spin for 3 seconds.

The Control Lock is a designed safety feature that enables the consumer to lock the control panel to prevent small children from manipulating the controls and accidentally starting the appliance. It can inadvertently be set following a power outage, or by leaning against the control panel and usually is not an indication of a washer malfunction.
If this is a Maytag Epic, Whirlpool Duet, or Kenmore Elite, the following link explains how to lock/unlock this feature:
These instructions are also printed on the front panel of the appliance and in the owner's manual. If this does not correct your problem, then you may have a more serious problem than a simple operator control issue. If you need further assistance, please let me know. This is a common issue with Whirlpool Duet washer however; your whirlpool duet washer needs a reset to resolve the control lock problem. Press and hold the END OF CYCLE/CYCLE SIGNAL button for 15 seconds to reset the control. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

and hold if for 15 seconds, this will reset the control. Hope this
