I am having the same problem. When I was self-cleaning the oven, I used the micorowave oven. It worked fine and right after that, I see no lights, nothing. The oven is fine though. Please let me know how to fix it.

Your microwave is plugged into an outlet built into the top of the oven. This outlet has a "circuit breaker" that trips when using the self cleaning feature. This is a design flaw that Jenn-Air/Whirlpool refuses to acknowledge. You just need to reset the breaker button that the microwave is plugged into. It's right next to the outlet.

Of course, getting to the reset button is your only challenge. You need to pull the microwave and oven out of the wall/cabinetry in order to get to it. The unit is heavy so you will need help. Or, call a certified repairman and they should be able to do this for you in 30 minutes or less so the service call should not run you more than @$85 if it is no longer under warranty.

I would also suggest you contact Jenn-Air to complain about this issue and seek reimbursement from them if necessary.

Fuses and circuit breakers imediately come to mind as the first things to check.

Thank you for the suggestion. I got this fixed by calling JennAir. They first thought it was the powerboard inside the unit. After replacing it, still they problem was there. Eventually they figured out that it was the plug in the outlet that got blown away. So they replaced it. As you mentioned it, getting to it was an ordeal. The unit is heavy and they had to get one more person to help them. I paid about $165 for the service. Anyway, 3 weeks after it got fixed, the problem reoccured when I was using the oven and microwave at the same time. So they had to come again and fix it. I hope it does not happen again. I already complained to JennAir about this faulty issue.
