Because your camera works with AA sized batteries, I advice you to buy a normal AA charger. Also try a new set of batteries, and although the camera came with alkaline batteries, don't use alkaline batteries on a charger. Only use NiMH batteries and an external charger.
It isn't. The Samsung D760 is a camera, not a battery charger. It runs on standard AA batteries, disposable or rechargeable. If you want to use rechargeable batteries then you'll have to charge them outside the camera in a separate battery charger.
The VPC-S770R uses standard AA batteries. Chargers for rechargeable AA batteries should be available at just about any department, electronics, or office-supply store. Do NOT try to recharge non-disposable alkaline or lithium batteries. Also bear in mind that the camera itself is not a battery charger. If you want to use rechargeable batteries then they must be charged outside the camera using a separate battery charger.
No. The DSC-S500 uses standard AA batteries, either disposable alkalines or rechargeable NiMHs. If you use rechargeables, they must be charged outside the camera using a separate charger.
The camera doesn't come with a charger. It uses standard AA batteries. If you use rechargeable batteries then you must charge them outside the camera using a separate battery charger. Rechargeable AAs and charges should be available at just about any department, electronics, or office-supply store.

It may be a bad batch of batteries. However, I would take them out, put them in the charger, but try shuffling positions in your charger in case one of the charger slots is not working.
It's likely your charger. You probably own a "fast charger" but it's also probably designed for your lower mAh power batteries. The charger does not understand the power difference of your newer high-capacity battery, thus it is automatically stopping the charge before completion sensing something is wrong. You'll need to either purchase a newer charger, clearly stated capable of charging 3000mAh batteries. An alternative is to use an older "trickle" charger (one of those that charges at very low power slowly overnight). These don't automatically turn off when the battery reaches full charge, thus will charge your battery.
apparently, i was told by a sony sales guy, to use sony batteries WITH the sony charger. Don't use another kind of battery in the sony charger or use an engergizer charger with duracell batteries...we'll see if that fixes the problem as for I have the exact same problem! I'll let you know what happens! (though I'm very suspicious that the guy didn't know what he was talking about! worth a shot though since I've tried a lot of batteries and chargers to try and fix the problem with my H1!)
This camera uses regular AA batteries. If you want to use rechargeable AA batteries then you need to buy an AA charger and rechargeable batteries, and remove them from the camera to charge them.
