Question about Philips 32PT5441/37 32" TV
Tv 4 years old. Problem started with colored lines and roll over look at top of screen. After a couple months tv stopped working. I turn tv on, it powers up and about the time the picture should appear tv turns off and power light blinks 3 short pause and then 1 long then repeats. I used the tv in the morning before work and it was fine aside from the issues at the top of the screen. When I came home from work and turned tv on thats when tv stopped working. Thanks for hearing my problem.
The foldover is because of a bad capacitor in the vertical circuit. Given the "new" sympotom of a dead set, I would suspect that the vertical IC has failed. This should be a relatively simple repair for a TV shop. If you wish to attempt a repair of this yourself, update this and confirm your model number and I'll post more details and instructions.
