Channels Not Playing

Well all was fine for about two days then i realised my amp left side was not playing! So i thought it was rca cables needed to be changed it turned out that that wasnt the problem now this is a 4 channel amp so its strange that both channel 2 and 4 would just not work!

I had afriend who is atechnician. his boss amplifier stopped working on one channel,so what he did is openened the amp, tested the mosfet transistors and it showed signs of failure.then he went shopping for same type of mosfet transistors and with no luck in buying the right type, he put the amp away for acouple of weeks. then one day he hooked it up and strangely it worked again. he told me that while it was hooked up itwent into protection mode and for some reason it worked later. so i would not open it because of static discharge i would disconnect the amp for maybe acouple of weeks then hook it back up.... its worth a try & good luck

Went black and white rca f32648

so far no proper details are available regarding resetting this particular TV ( f32648 ) .... i have checked user manual also

have you tried following things

1 - playing different dvds (dvd player )
2 - changing different channels ( cable tv or antenna )
3 - increasing ( to maximum ) & decreasing ( to minimum ) [in menu ]
contrast colour tint black level sharpness
picture presets auto colur colour warmth
4 - auto channel searching ( cable tv or antenna )

even after these trials if picture is in black & white then it is a hardware problem - since it is a rare problem no details are available about which component might have got deffective ...... only the service engineer who opens & checks your tv can tell the exact deffective component .......... sometimes it can be loose connection ( cracks at soldering joints - hit your TV lightly with your hand on left side or right side or on top - if color comes & goes then it is loose connection problem - all soldering joints should be resoldered by service engineer ) ..... or an IC might have got deffective ......... only after opening & checking your tv mainboard exact deffective component can be identified ......

I have vestax 05pro2. Left channel works but out of one speaker. The turntable input is good. Im thinking Its either the channel fader, or the rca inputs for that side. Has anyone had this problem?

Hi,
Here's a solution to see if you have a problem with either your receiver or turntable.
The turntable has 2 RCA's one red for right channel, and one white or black for left channel, which plug into the back of the amplifier.

  • Unplug both RCA from rear of amplifier.
  • Plug in a cd or dvd player into those inputs on the amplifier, the sound will be lower but it will give you an indication if the amplifier is ok or not.
  • If you have sound on both channels left and right then the amplifier is good
  • If you still only have sound on left channel, then there is a problem with the right channel input on the amp.
  • If your amp, is good, unplug the cd /dvd player.
  • Put a record on and start playing the record
  • Plug the white or black RCA from the turntable into the rear of the amplifier marked left, you should have sound.
  • now unplug it from the left and plug in into the right red RCA socket, if you have sound the amplifier is working fine.
  • if there is no sound there may be a problem with the stylus cartridge on the turntable
  • now lets reverse the test
  • unplug both RCA from amp.
  • Plug the red RCA into the left socket on amplifier, if there is sound, turntable is working fine, if no sound there is a problem with either the stylus cartridge or that red RCA cable.
  • now unplug the red RCA from the left side and plug it into the right side socket
  • if there is no sound there may be a problem with the stylus cartridge or RCA cable.
I hope this helps

I'm not getting sound out of one speaker when playing my turntable. i'm guessing it's an rca cable issue. it goes in and out. if white one is in with red one, i get sound only on one side (red side). ...

I'm a bit confused by your explanation! But here's my advice. Remove the wires to the cartridge (make a note of how they fit on it). With the amp connected touch each wire with you finger (one at a time). You should hear a buzz on two of the wires (L & R) and nothing on the others. If you do you have a faulty cartridge. If the left isn't working (no buzz), swap the RCA's around. If the sound doesn't switch to the other side (right now playing out of left). You have a faulty magnetic cartridge pre-amp in your amp. If it does switch, than your left cable or plug is damaged.

Need to select proper input on the TV when playing DVDs. For VCR, select channel 3 or 4.

For cable TV or satellite TV , change channels on the proprietary box and record channel 3 or 4 on VCR. You can also hookup RCA cables (3) from cable box etc. to VCR. Select LINE input on VCR if connecting RCA cables.

Cable on TV suddenly went to black & white (and a bit fuzzy)(some channels show faint colour). Was fine, nothing was changed, one day was suddenly B&W. TV screen is not the problem, all other cable...

Was playing around with the TV's menu and changed the Tuning Band from "HRC cable" to "IRC cable". Suddenly I have colour again. No one had adjusted any of the controls, so still not sure why one day it was fine and the next day it had gone to black and white, but changing the Tuning Band fixed the colour problem for me.

JL 300/4 problem

If both the left front and left rear channels are out, reverse the RCA cables to determine if the problem is signal related. If the left side plays when you reverse the RCA cables, reverse them at the head unit to see if the audio changes sides. If it does, the head unit is likely the problem. If it doesn't switch sides when you switch at the head unit, the RCA cables are the problem.

American pro vs1403 lost one channel out of four

Have you moved all of the switches, controls and RCA jacks to make sure that the problem isn't a dirty contact?

Have you tried swapping the RCA signal cable from a working channel to confirm that it's not a signal problem?

Have you swapped a speaker from a working channel to the dead channel to confirm that it's not a speaker problem?

It's unusual that one channel goes dead and the rest work.

RCA cable use

You can plug into the left channel and it will feed both the left and right channels.

To confirm that it's feeding both channels, connect the speaker to one channel at a time. With signal fed into the left channel only, you should get sound when you connect the speaker to either channel.
