I have the same problem as the previous poster. The paper pulls into the printer from the right side, but the left side goes more slowly through, or not at all, and it jams up the printer.

same thing here. This printer isn't very usuer friendly, most printers let you take them apart but you are very limited to what you can do with this lexmark.

Use a strong light to examine the entire paper path. You may find one or more tiny bits stuck in a tiny space. This may be a result of feeding old or thin paper in previously

I have a paper jam in the printer lexmark x4550 and don't know how to get to it

If you're having trouble getting the paper jam from the feeder, you can open the cartridge area. You should be able to get a better hold of jammed paper out from there.

I keep getting a printer jam when trying to print, I clear the jam and then it sticks again, wither in the tray, the inner door or the fuser, any ideas appreciated..

Please check the error code when paper jams. The code will indicate where the jam is. Also let me provide some tips to prevent paper jam.

Flex, fan, and straighten paper before loading it. Make sure the paper lies flat in the paper tray. Do not load too much paper. Make sure the stack height does not exceed the indicated maximum height. Make sure the guides in the paper tray or the manual feeder are properly positioned and are not pressing too tightly against the paper or envelopes and push the paper tray in firmly after loading paper. Use only recommended paper or specialty media.
Do not load wrinkled, creased, damp, bent, or curled paper. Do not mix paper sizes, weights, or types in the same stack and make sure all sizes and types are set correctly in the printer control panel menus.

MY PRINTER WORKED FINE LAST TIME I USED IT... NOW WHEN I PUT PAPER IN AND START TO PRINT IT PULLS IT DOWN LIKE NORMAL THEN LIKE STARTS EATING IT. THEN IT SAYS PLEASE LOAD PAPER AND I HAVE TO PULL THE PAPER...

you have a small piece object stuck inside the printer wheels. turn off (unplug) printer. then get a small piece of plastic. I use half of a thin plastic binder or any thin plastic you can find about the thickness of 2 sheets of paper. must be rigid plastic not flimsy. ((Even a pice of cardboard same thickness (2sheets) of paer will do the trick)) insert this from the back of printer where paper goes in and you should see the jam come out at the bottom of the printer. be very careful(gentle) as these wheels can become dislodged or break if you are very rough with them. once removed you may also want to turn pringter upside down (again carefully) they are light but just be careful. this may help to remove debris. Once cleared and printeing properly... always remove paper when not in use and cover top of printer with a towel. This will prevent pet hair etc from getting into the wheels (feeder of printer and extend the life of your printer. Although they seem to be cheaper to buy a new one when the ink runs out sometimes LOL :)
Hope this helps
Roty :)

Paper jams lexmark x3550

You need to visually inspect the rollers. I suspect that there is a small piece of paper jamming the paper path. Check where it is jamming, and inspect.

What has happened to it? Did it have apaper jam? Let's try a simple reset first.

Turn off the printer and unplug it.
Open the paper jam door and gently roll the paper roller forward until it clicks. close the door.

Leave the printer unplugged for a few minutes then plug it in and turn it on and try it out.

If this does not solve your problem, you may need to reinstall your software. If you do not have it, let me know.

X4270 lexmark printer hook up

I have a lexmark X4270, I'm having a problem with the fax machine, the display keeps displaying "clear paper Jam", however there is no paper jam. I'm also not being able to recieve or send any faxes. I'm low on ink, would this prevent sending faxes? Any suggestions?

Phaser 7700GX Color Printer prints wrinkled pages!

when this occurs the problem is most of the time with the transport roller, fuser / fixing assembly roller.question is the image still toner only and not fused to the paper.
In these areas there is offen a jammed and not removed piece of paper dislodged in the paper path or jammed in the fuser or the transfer rollers teflon coating has perished inspect the areas carefully and remove any found if the unit still is faulty (fanning of paper the fuser would be the first to be replaced are past there usable life) if so then Post a reply
