Thank you for the response. There was a pin hole in the hose. We cut it and rconnected it but it didn't work so we put a new connector and it was still leaking .. so for now, I cut the water supply to the hose and will call the GE rep tomorrow.

GE is a durable appliance and since you didnt provide more details you description states " the fridge sounds like its running water ". Thats good that means that the heater coil located within the walls of the freezer are doing their job. The water is traveling down to a drip pan under the fridge. This happens on a timed cycle in order to keep the ice from building up in the freezer compartment like it used to in the refridgerators long time ago.How well a job is it doing , maybe not so well ! Since you said " the ice dispenser is ALWAYS frozen over. That could be the freezer coil or it could also be the stop lever above the ice container which it is not telling the dispenser to stop producing ice.You can test it out by raising the lever to its upper most position. If it solves the over freezing then you dont have to replace it . But, In case you need to replace the motor assembly.Which is simple . First unplug the cable plugged into the back wall, and then remove the mounting screws. When you go buy the motor assemly be sure to take the BRAND, MODEL# , SERIAL# , DATE MFG which can be gotten from a plate on the inside wall And if that still freezes over unfortunately then the heater coil needs to be changed out by a tech which could be labor intensive (money wise that is). GE usually makes their product "owner friendly". You should ask the guy selling parts if he could show you an exploded view of where the heater coil is located and help give you tip on installing the coil. They have diagrams to show how and where it goes.Be sure and take note and sometimes the can help you over the phoneshould you run into a snag. At first it may seem difficult but once done you'll feel a sense of accomplishment and pride.

Whenever you cut the hole out be sure to use a new brass coupling to insure a good seal because the old one has already been crimped. By the way in my sleep last nite I also thought of another reason why the freezer is " over freezing". It may also be because the seal around the door is not sealing tight enough and may be allowing air in which really doesn't matter much when you open the door but when its closed and the air goes in the air carries moisture in and that moisture sticks to walls, freezes and continues to build up. So check the seal for leaks. By using a sheet of paper close the freezer door leaving enough paper sticking out to be able to grab. Pull the the paper and feel the drag. Do this all the way around the entire seal. And where ever it is easy to pull out that is where the moisture goes in. Most of the time its quite evident where the leak is at.

Why is my GE (ZFSB23D SS) side by side refrigerator leaking at the back corner, near the rear wheel where the plastic water line goes in?

If the tubing is plastic it could have cracked when you moved the tubing to install the filter. If the tubing is OK then possinly the filter isn't all the way in or is leaking.

Water line for ice maker/cold water leaking underneath

Check your connection at the bottom of the freezer door, behind the kick plate. Also pull out your crisper drawers and check the cold water reservior. If this only leaks when the water dispenser is pressed I would try to track the line from the bottom of the freezer door back to where it goes into the refrigerator (behind the crispers) to the cold water reservior.
If you absolutely have to lay this fridge down lay it on it's BACK only. Also be sure to let it stand upright for at least a half an hour before you start it back up.
Good luck with this!!

Hi GE top freezer fridge - 5 years old( no ice

Well for one thing that unit was manufactured 10 years ago. But it sounds like the defrost drain is clogged and the water is running down the inside of the unit. The evaporator (not condenser) is on the bottom of the freezer compartment. The bottom panel of the freezer comes out. They are a bit of a pain to do, but can be done.

Because ice makers require a water supply to make ice.
This could be where your water is coming from.

Ice maker feeding too much water and overflows

I have the GE Profile TFX24PR that exhibited the same symptoms. I had water leaking, making ice in the bottom of the ice bin, as well as under the ice bin. I also discovered ice down the back wall of the freezer.

A technician replaced the ice maker, which did not solve the problem. He put the original back and replaced the valve on the back. That too did not solve the problem. I took matters into my own hands.

I discovered that the ice maker water fill tube that comes in through the back of the freezer wall was leaking. Water would run down the outside of the tube. Some of the water would go into the ice maker, some would go into the ice bin and some of the water would also run down the wall of the fan housing where it passes through a hole in the fan housing. The big problem was the water running down the wall of the fan housing. From there it ran onto the cooling coils, where it would freeze, causing the freezer to go into extended defrost. My freezer and fridge would warm up and I had some food spoil.

If this looks like it may be your problem, you may want to enlist some help for this; it is tedious, time consuming and requires working in the confined spaces of the freezer.

After disassembling the fan housing I was able to access the fill tube. It just pushes in and is prone to wear, especially after fourteen years. I just reversed the ends of the tube and pushed it back in for a snug fit. You may want to consider using a sealer. Everything is working fine now; lots of ice in the bin, and no stray ice or water.
