Check and replace ALL high value electrolytic capacitors on the power supply board. The Polaroids have known issues with leaky caps in the power supply. It's best to just change them all to prevent future failures.

It can be the main board or the power supply, look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.

Are the Polaroid FLM-3232 and the Element FLX-3202

not sure if there the same but the boards inside may be.

This sounds like the problem most LCD tv's get with swelled up capacitors in the power supply board. look for circular cylinder shaped parts rapped in plastic with writting on the sides, and metal tops, if the top is rounded over, not flat, it is bad. replace them.

The 2 1000mfd cap that are 10 volts should be replaced with 1000 mfd 16 volts at 105 deg. All the caps need to be high temp and high grade.
