Screen is black and memory card should not be full,

the error could be due to several things - the card reader, pins bent, card getting hot or near magnetic source...
go ahead and re-format your card, even though u might risk never being able to retrieve your photos. This is better cuz if u send it for repair they will charge between $100-$150.
But I found a free recovery software called Zero Assumption Digital Recovery ( which will able you to recover photos.

Please don't forget to rate me as fixya..

When i turn on my camera it says internal memory is full and I cannot take pictures

Hi there Gloria,

Your camera might be using the internal memory in saving those pictures.

You can press the Review button and press the left and right arrow to view the previous, next picture or video. You need to press the Delete button in each of them that you wan to delete. You might want to transfer your pictures and videos on the computer first before deleting them.

Then to set the memory card for the camera to save those images instead of the internal memory, just press Menu, then press either up or down button until you see Image Storage. Choose Auto; this option chooses the memory card if it is inserted on the camera.

Hope this helps.

Memory card problem

Use the Picture Motion Browser to export the pictures from internal memory to the memory card. From page 43 of the manual:

1. Connect the camera to the computer. If the AutoPlay Wizard appears, close it.

2. Start up the PMB program.

3. Click the button with the two arrows and follow the instructions.

For more details refer to your PMB manual. If you've lost your manuals, you can downloat them from

Strange lines at bottom of images and "unidentified image" error messages

This sounds like a possible write problem with your flash card. Do you have another memory card (preferably different make) that you could try with the camera?

Reviewing pics

Check the memory card, if you can. A card dock or similar on your PC or laptop. Try reformatting it if nothing is on it. Try another card. The cards can go bad.
This is assuming that the camera is trying to record images when you think you are taking them. I also assume you see an image in the LCD on your camera when you are composing before shooting and the camera acts like it is taking a picture. Do you usually have the ability to review what you just shot and it immediately shows up on the screen? Have you used your flash when this non-recording is taking place? Does it flash?
More info would be helpful.
