30'000 btu spark style will not lite

It has sit for several years with fuel in it . I changed the plug and it will lite with the cover removed and restricting the fans air flow to the ignighter side of the nozzle. It has run for appox 1-3 mins but as soon as I remove the baffle restricting the air flow it will go out again. We have drained the tank and placed 1-5 gal of kerosene in the heater

  1. clean the fuel filter
  2. clean the nozzle
  3. set the air pump pressure.
It should fire off, unless you have developed an air leak, worn nozzle, bad fan, or a motor that is not turning rpm's.

Look again. There IS a fuel filter, unless some body over the years has robbed it.

This link can instruct you about the ajd screws better than me

Post the exact model number. Maybe, I can provide a breakdown.

My 2001 Lincoln Continental has been sitting for over two years, It did start for about a minute but it wont start again. what can I do

BATTERY DEAD MORE LIKELY.CAR BEEN SITTING FOR 2 YEARS GAS IN FUEL TANK WEAK FULL OF WATER, YOU NEED TO REMOVE DRAIN OUT OLD FUEL IN THE FUEL TANK. YOU NEED ADD NEW FUEL IN FUEL TANK,CHANGE FUEL FILTER, IF CAR BEEN SITTING FOR TWO YEARS.I WOULD REMOVE SPARK PLUGS ONE AT A TIME REMOVE EACH SPARK PLUG SQUIRT FEW DROPS OF OIL INTO CYLINDER THEN REINSTALL SPARK PLUG, REASON I SAY TO DO THIS PROCEDURE IT HELP PISTON RINGS SEAL UP ENOUGH TO BUILD UP COMPRESSION SO YOU CAN START THE ENGINE WHERE IT BEEN SITTING TOO LONG.YOU NEED CHANGE ANTIFREEZE AND THERMOSTAT.REPLACE RADIATOR HOSES TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE,REPLACE AIR FILTER.

I have a lp 75-125 reddy heater. when pluged in it no longer sparks to ignite fuel. I have the style were the ignitor is always sparking an arc.

The tranformer that sits under the motor for the igniter could be burnt out. You can use an ohmmeter to check it. I'm assuming yours has a spark plug. Make sure it isn't fouled and has a gap of .050".

Heater wont lite

It sounds like you are having an airflow problem since it lights fine with the cover off. You need to adjust the airflow the burner or look for some type of obstruction.

How often do i need to get a tune up and what parts do i need to buy for the tune up?

once or twice a year is good for an actual tune up which is new fuel filter, plugs, plug wires, & antifreeze.
About every other year, you should replace tranny fluid and filter. Not bad idea to have coolant and tranny flushed every 2-3 years too.

Change spark plugs

My 2004 Verona had factory installed "NGK BKUR6ETB" regular spark plugs which I replaced at 30,000 miles. The 2005 model year is supposed to have Iridium spark plugs. To replace the spark plugs: 1. Remove plastic top engine cover. 5 nuts 10mm socket. 2. Unplug connector from each ignition coil. qty 6. 3. remove 2 hold down bolts per ignition coil. 10mm socket. 4. remove ignition coil, lifting straight up. 5. Spark plug is now accessible, use deep well 5/8 spark plug socket to remove.
