My GoVideo wll not eject either. When it says'reading', I pull down on the front flap and sometimes it will open, but mostly not. Also, one out of 4 DVD's won't play. A bar comes up on the TV that says, 'unknown disc' .Everthing else works fine, so this is very frustrating.

It probably wasn't the best solution but it worked. I tried to jimmy open and pull out the dvd tray. When that didn't work I tried pulling the dvd out with needle nose pliers, but it did not budge. Finally I hit the eject button one last time and it worked. I hit the eject button a couple of more times and it did work. I did ruin the dvd, and haven't had a chance to play another dvd to see if it is working properly.

You may have enabled the child lock feature, try pressing the Return, Enter and Power buttons together to toggle the lock off. If this is disabled and you still can't open the tray, turn off the unit and unplug it. After 30 seconds or so, plug the unit back into the electrical outlet. Attempt to open the tray. If this does not solve the problem, try pressing Power + Stop + Eject buttons together. Also try pressing Disc1 + Stop + Eject simultaneously (if a disc1 button is on the remote or player).

If the error message is t - L C K or persists after trying all of the above steps, then you need the unit serviced.

The manual is available at the Sony support site: .

I hope this helps.

Philips 3360H - can't eject DVD

Try this..turn it off, unplug it for a min or two, then plug it back in. THEN...if the power stays off...hit the eject/open/close button on the panel.

Sometimes this activates the eject mode without turning on the unit. IF NOT, try the remote eject without turning on the unit.

Greetings Ranin,

I would try unplugging the unit for approximately 30 minutes to allow it to completely power down and then plug it in again. It might restart the internal menus and allow the dvd player to eject.

I hope this helps!

DVD tray will not open

When a disk is stuck inside the player , try following the procedure below:

Unplug power cord.
Plug back power.
Turn on the unit and press repeatedly the eject button at the same time. If you successeed in ejecting the disk before the player starts reading TOC(disk initial track), then the disk will eject.
If that does not work, then there is an internal fault, in that case the unit must be taken apart to remove the disk.

Will not turn on or reset

First try pressing and holding the stop and channel up buttons (at the same time) on the unit (not the remote) for about five seconds.

If that doesn't work, try pressing and holding the stop and power buttons at the same time.

Disc Tray Will Not Eject

Just next to the eject button on the actual recorder there should be a tiny pinhole.  If you use a small paperclip and insert it, then push, you should be able to manually eject the DVD.  Hope this helps!
