Question about Philips 32PF5320 32 in. HD-Ready LCD Television

1 Answer

Signal Problems I recently moved and set up my 32PF5320 32. The problem I've got is that the TV appears to be receiving a signal from somewhere that prevents me from using any menu functions on the remote. For example, when I try to lower the volume, the signal that the TV is receiving pushes the volume up to the max (99). Another example is that I tried to adjust the brightness, same thing happened, the signal being received pushed the brightness control to the max. I had to turn the TV off in order to clear the menu from the screen. As it stands now, I keep the TV on mute and feed the audio through my receiver. However, it's getting annoying because I have to contend with both the mute and volume indicators remaining up on the screen constantly.

Incompatible video signal has received check output device settings

My guess would be that your PS3 has somehow switched the output settings. You can reset the settings by pressing and holding down the power button till it starts blinking. Try connecting it with your RCA cables to a TV and if that works try going into your settings and setting the PS3 back to HDMI.

Hi.I cant see any scores on the tv because it is in 4:3 wide mode but I cant get to it to change it because it is greyed out. How do I change this. Thanks

If you're using an external cable box or the like, you'll need to tell it to output in 16:9 or 16:10 (widescreen). This should be found in the menus somewhere on your cable box. Probably under settings (surprise surprise). Once you've done that, with any luck you're TV should be able to adapt to the new widescreen video signal it's receiving.

Hope this helpes

My tv is not getting the signal from my direct dish.Just says no signal. I contacted direct and we tried several things via phone. They said the problem is with my tv not the dish or receiver. Nothing has...

Tries tv and the dish box unplug, replug it back an hour later for the tv to do a restting itself back to the factory setting and dish box to reboot and upgraded it software. This no signal problems should be fixed, not request another dish box for the replacement, because tv have no signal input bouncing around in the tv screen it is 90%-95% are broadcasting receiver boxes for tv incomming signal cable for tv signal problems.

The screen is black and a little box that says no signal is moving around on the screen

Check your inputs. The no signal box means exactly that - there's no incoming signal for the TV to decode. So you've either disconnected a cable somewhere or turned off your input device.
Try changing the inputs on the TV (this will be a button saying input or A/V)
Try changing the channels
Check that your cables are correctly connected and that whatever you are trying to use (dvd player, PS3, etc) is turned on.
Check that your TV is tuned to the corresponding input it is plugged in to (if you plugged your DVD player into HDMI input 8, tune your TV to input 8)
Hope this helps.

The set is slow to respond but you must have a clear shot at the lower right corner of the set. That is where the signal is received. Our sofa cushiopn sometimes gets in the way and must be moved. When a signal is received the blue light comes on.

Initial hdmi tv, no signal received

If you are trying to get 'off the air' signals then you must scan for the new digital channels in your reception area (this info should be in your owners manual). If scanning doesn't find any signals, you might have to add a VHF/UHF line amplifier(s) between your antenna and the TV set or improve your outside antenna or the cable leading from it to your set. You might have to resort to subscribing to HD cable or satellite TV.
