When the freon is released from the unit, you have to repair the leak, pull a vacumm to rid any moisture in system then refill with freon,if you dont have the equipment,it would be cheaper to just replace the unit

Is all air conditioner split unit come with gas show me for free

Split air conditioner units usually do not come with the freon installed, because you need to run the hoses through holes in the wall to connect the inside evaporator with the outside pump and condenser.
So you drill the holes, install the units, connect the hoses, evacuate the air and moisture out, and then fill with freon.

Drainage occurs near the front of the unit, resulting in pools of water leaking onto my window sill. Unit is installed properly, there is no drain hole to direct water away from the insides of the walls...

The A/C unit should be tilted slightly to the rear and this will allow the water to leak to the outside of the window, you may have to drill a small hole in the case to drain if there is no pre-existing hole.

My ac throws water back into the house when running to long, water builds and does not leak out of unit,do i need to drill a hole on the bottom of unit and if so where is compressor so i dont puncture it.

sounds like your condensate drain is stopping up or not draining properly. I would check and make sure the unit's drain is open and water is draining.

Also it's possible that the AC itself needs to be tilted (just slightly back in order for the water to drain better. Sometimes people will make sure the unit is installed perfectly level for cosmetic purposes not realizing that the water needs to drain out the back of the AC.

good luck!

Water leaking from Maytag M6T12F2A is this expensive to repair

The drain hole is likely clogged with lent and trash. Make sure it is level or leaning dow a bit on the back side. I had to drill five holes in the bottom rear of my old window unit to stop water draining down the insdie wall. Make sure you dont drill into a usefull component of the AC or kiss it goodbye.

In drilling out a clogged drain hole, I accidentally drilled into one of the aluminum coil tubes. The puncture is very snall, but nevertheless the gas escaped. What have I got to do to fix this/ Thanks

In my opinion it is better to get an a.c technician to repair the tube, and then they have to vacuum it to see if there is not another leak. Then they will add freon again.

Condensation leaks out front of unit into the house.

Hi, no don't drill holes in bottom tray, to make drain, that's design, you need to keep water there, the fan usually pick up water(moisture) and add to your air inside your home, otherwise the air in your home will become to dry, dry air will create static electricity all over your home, from your carpet to your clothes, you need to level your unit horizontally, put a spirit level, and you should have a slight pitch, from front to back, good luck.

The only sure way to repair the unit is to replace the condensor coil. Pressures are too great for a patch job.

Leak repair Samsung window air conditioner

Modern window units intentionally do not allow the water to drain directly, they want the fan blade to sling the water on to the condensor (the coil that is outside) to aid in cooling actually helps the unit cool better in high outside temps, it also evaporates it this way, depending on where the hole was drilled it may be able to be repaired, if it was just a copper tube it will be less expensive than replacing the whole coil. Since its a relative inexpensive unit anyway the labor and freon may be more than its worth. Lesson learned dont drill a hole in the base it lowers it's efficiency and can lead to a punctured freon line.

Rattling noises and blowing water (goldstar WG5005R)

If the unit is new and tilted enough toward the outside, the rain should not be a factor as far as water blowing out. It will make some rattling noises on the outside more so when its raining or high humidity because the outside fan throws water onto the condenser coil. Sounds like to me that its not draining to the outside.. It shouldn't be dirty enough for the drain paths to be filled with crud. Tilting it more to the outside should fix it. Hope this helps. kstfas
