I just bought a speaker for my computer but i can't hear sound from two of speakers ! how can i solve it ?

if your sound is not working you can check that the plugs are in the computer correctly usally there are green and pink ends on computer speakers green indicating goes in the green slot and pink in the pink some people often gets confused and there are sometimes on new modles a blue slot that can look green in low light i would suggest checking they are plugged in correctly to the computer preferably in the back and not the front if the front option is avalible and check the appropriate drivers are installed on the computer to use the speakers

My speakers aren't getting any power. I feel confident I have traced power all the way to the switch. Would anyone have a schematic diagram for Logitech x-240 speakers?

Hello little richi,

I would suggest plugging your speakers into another outlet first to be sure that your speakers are the problem. I would then suggest to check and see if you can remove the power cord, which I would assume is universal and can bought at many retailers, and install a new one.

If the switch was the problem, this situation becomes more technical. You most likely would have to buy a new plug. There are electronics retailers such as Jameco and Newark. We're not talking about places like Best Buy and Walmart here. Jameco and Newark sell plugs that you would have to solder on to the wire. The plugs should be real cheap. If you know how to solder, all you would need to do is solder the wires on to the plug.

Bose companion 2 speakers not working with the HP slimline

Speakers are speakers. They should not need configuring if they are funtional and powered up. The speaker out jack does not know the difference from bose to sparkamatic.

Install Boston Acoustic speakers BA7800 to a new Imac?

Partial Solution anyway - I just got a Mac Pro (2.66 Nehalem )and couldn't find the manual from my old Gateway 700XL. This is what I did: Plug the green wire into the analog output, and the pink wire (if you really need an external mic, but you shouldn't since our new computers both have a built-in mic) into the analog input. Just ignore the black wire. You won't have the 2 surround speakers, but I'm still looking for a fix for that. I got tired of the crappy speakers in my new Apple Cinema display (the ONLY crappy thing about my new system). As you know, the sound from the BA7800 is great, even with just the two front speakers and sub-woofer. I'll keep you posted if/when I figure out how to set up the surround speakers! Likewise, if you hear something, please post here and I'll keep checking back.

Speaker problem

Don't know if you've solved this yet but just in case ...
There is nothing to install with loudspeakers - they are independent devices and have nothing to do with your computer.
Check the little lights. There should be one on the back of the subwoofer (by the power switch) and one underneath each of the satellites. If you haven't got the lights under the satellites then you probably have a faulty subwoofer. Check thought that your connections are solid.  Remember the two satellites' connectors are keyed and may not be fully home, rotate them slightly until they click completely in.
Theses are excellent speakers and should be deafeningly loud.

NO SOUND FROM TEAC POWERMAX 80/20 SPEAKERS

You need to try them on another computer to make sure the sound card is working correctly in this one first. This will let you know if there is something wrong with your speakers.

Cannot get installed correctly due to no one knowing how they did it before

The 18volt dc power suply goes to the Sub.
The Orange plug goes the Sub. (this color choice was a bac one for Altec to have used!)
The remaining plug goes to the speaker out on your computer {the most common color on the computer is Green) The plug from the speaker may be either white or green.
Now you will also need a driver installed. I payed a web sight for updates to all my drivers ($30). I may have a nother solution to share with others who need this driver in a week or two.

Good Luck.

Speaker won't work

Sija
First things First:
1) check your connectors back on the PC, I presume you use windows XP and sound drivers installed **
2) plug the speakers cable on back or front of your PC in the green (usually) connector.
3) see if sound is NOT mute on mixer , multimedia in control panel.**
4) If you can Enter your BIOS, try to enable sound, for onboard sound, if apply**
good Luck
