Enlarging pictures. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, but I cannot get my photos to enlarge. The instructions seem simple, but won't work for me.

How do you enlarge copies on the hp 8500 printer

From The HP 8500 Manual

TIP:You can also use Fit to Page to enlarge a small photo to fit within the

printable area of a full-size page. In order to do this without changing the

proportions of the original or cropping the edges, the device might leave an uneven
amount of white space around the edges of the paper.

How do you enlarge a picture? I recieved no instructions for my printer, ESP 3. All I can figure out is the "fit to page" or "100%" ,which I can't get to work, either. What if I want to enlarge it 25%?

you can pull the copy from the folder location and use "paint" that comes with your operating system and enlarge the photo there
2. if you have photo software you can use it to enlarge the photo to the desired page you want. This is software such as Photo smart etc.
3. In Windows 7 there is a "Window Picture Manger" that will re size your photo also if you have this operating system. It is listed under "Pictures" click here then you will come to "windows Picture viewer" then at the top of the window you will see "File,Print,Email,Burn and Open.
4. By clicking on the "Open" caption you will see a drop down menu with "paint,Gallery, etc. choose the "Windows Picture Manager" and you will have a "helps " menu to the upper right hand corner click here to see how to operate the picture manager.

How to enlarge photos

You can enlarge photos from the Print Dialogue box. Just select the % you want it to be, like 120% or 200% if you want to double the size. The problem with that is the resolution won't be the same. If you use a Mac, then enlarge it in iPhoto by selecting your picture and choose Export from the File menu. Select the kind(like JPEG, etc.) then Size, and then Custom. From there you can resize it and export a copy on your desktop for printing.
