Personally it does not bother me that much on mine. But since you asked, there is drain line that runs into the drip tray underneath. The line should not have any bends in it to form a P-trap which will hold enough water in to form a seal, so when the door closes and the pressures equal you have a gurgling sound. If it really bothers you try these steps, remove the kick plate by removing the two phillips head screws on either side. The drip pan is suspended in the middle of the support and will probably have water in the drip pan so put a towel down before you start. Once off shine a light to see if the drain tube located 2/3rd the way back in the center andh is 1/2 inch in diameter made of clear plastic w/white band reinforcing it, has a bend in it. Depending on when it was made there may be a clamp that hold the drain tube in place. Carefully pull the hose past that clamp to remove sag and eliminate the bend which forms the P-trap. You have to be careful as the hose maybe brittle and come apart. So if you pull to hard you may wind up replacing that line which requires pulling the unit at considerable cost. There is a check valve that can be ordered but was only used for a short time. The inline check valve was a part number 4202130. How to remove bottom (freezer) door on my subzero refrigerator/freezer

With the door closed. Remove the cover over the bottom door hinge by removing the two screws holding it in place. This also allows the door closing mechanism to be removed. Rotate the door closer away from the refrigerator and slide straight down. Now open the freezer door. Take a pencil and mark around the hinge on top of the freezer door so you will know where to put the hinge back in place later. Remove the three large hinge screws and two small shipping screws. This will release the door on the top. Rotate the door away to get free from the hinge and pull the entire door straight up.

LCD panel and lights not working

On your Sub-Zero 642 Your display will not work unless your refrigerator lights work.
1st. Make sure your light bulbs are good.
2nd. Check your refrigerator door light switch.
3rd. The subzero uses a thermal overload to kill your lights if the door is left open to long.

Make sure the condenser is clean. Instructions are in your manual or subzero.com. If cleaning it doesn't work call for service

Sub-zero not keeping cold. It will cycle on and cool properly, then after a while the temp goes up to near 50 and it takes too long to cycle on to cool down again.

Call a subzero repairman. My subzero had a leak in the refrigerant coolant tubing. Trust me, only a trained and equipped repairman has a prayer of fixing this.

SubZero 532 frig lights out

There are two door switches one for fan and the other for the lights. With the compressor running, there are two so yu need to make sure it is the refrigerator and not the freezer, open the door and press the right switch and listen for a fan. The left should be your light switch and the problem is generally in the switch, on rare occasions there is a failure of bi-metal safety switch part number 4200850. One very rare occasions you may have a wiring proble. If you go to www.subzero.com there is a showroom locator tab on the top right corner, click it and you will go to a locator page which will get you to your local parts didtributor.

Subzero 630 hot door jamb

If the door jambs are hot, that is either a dirty condensor or a dead condensor fan motor. Make sure the condensor is vacuumed and check to see if the condensor fan is spinning. It should be running anytime either compressor is on. You can clear the service light by holdint the "alarm: button for 15 seconds or turning the unit off and then on again.
