You might have gotten a hold of a bad toner cartridge. (Did you use a genuine HP toner cartridge?) I would try a new toner cartridge and see if that helps.

Tips for a great answer:
Usually cause by dirty transfer roller, if your transfer roll look kind of white recommend replace it. Make sure you are using a HP toner cartridge also.
