Question about Toshiba TEC B-472 Thermal Label Printer
I have a "new" (refurbished) TEC B 472 QQ printer, and a TEC B-472-GH12-QQ-CFL printer. (I bought the wrong model) The only difference I can see is the B 472 QQ has just a serial connection while the other one has a serial, parallel, and a third connection I don't recognize. Is is possible to add a board to the B 472 QQ to make it parallel compatible? I have an old TEC B-472-GH12-QQ-CFL that I could pull the board out of and install in the B 472 QQ. I don't know what the difference is between these two models, but they look identical except for the missing connections. Can anyone tell me if this modification would work, or a better way to modify the B 472 QQ to work with a parallel connection. Or do I just need to find a a new B-472-GH12-CFL? Thanks for the help.
Swapping the parallel port to the printer should allow it to connect via parallel. Run through front panel diagnostics before/after install. depending on firmware it will tell you if the parallel board is installed.
