Mitsub replacec 52525 lamp. green timer light blinks then red steady light.

We are having trouble with our MItsubishi 52". We first bought an internet lamp that was not recomended by mitsubishi and put that in and the tv did not work then we replaced the lamp with stock wd52525 and the green timer light blinked and then the red lamp light stays on steady. The manual said the lamp it burnt out and we know that is not the case. The tv stays blank. Can anyone help us.

I have what seems to be the same problem. Original lamp failed and was replaced with Mitsubishi's direct replacement, $240. Replacement bulb lasted about 3 months followed by intermittant horizontal distortion. Then the red lamp LED came on again. When turning the TV on, the bulb lights for a few seconds then goes off, followed by the infamous red lamp led.

TCinNJ - what is the damage to get the TV fixed?

I have exactly the same problem and just had a tech leave after a $145 service visit. The cause is a problem in one of the 12 circuit boards that make up the electrical chassis (newer models only have two boards). I was given a form stating that some parts are no longer available for the first generation Mitsubishi DLPs (2004 build year). In that case, the only option is to have the entire chassis removed shipped to Georgia and refurbished. This can take up to two months and some sets have had to have this done multiple times.

I have to wait until tomorrow for news on whether the part is available or a chassis repair is the only option, and the costs. But it's looking like I have a $3000 paper weight after only 3 years (warranty was one year; the store's extended warranty was only two years). I will must likely just have to go out and buy a new set which will NOT be a Mitsubishi

I have a wd52525 the status light keeps blinking

There are 3 different LEDs on the front of this televison. The TIMER will blink green. The STATUS will blink orange and the LAMP will flash red or orange depending on if there is a failure or if the lamp timer is showing over 5000 hours.

If I answer your question directly and the status is blinking a steady orange light, then you have left the side filter cover or the front lamp cover off or they are loose.

Also holding the menu and device buttons together until the timer light blinks will reveal a code that will help in diagnosing your problem. Goodluck.

I have one of thos green blinking light and NO

The lamp light would be solid red if the lamp were out. The steady blinking green led is usually caused by failed capacitors on the DM board. You can get the V26 dm repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which should repair that issue. The kit contains the capacitors and the CD with detailed instructions.

My 52" Mitsubitshi Diamond series will not turn on. It has a blinking green light that says timer underneath and the system reset button had not effect either. The TV is only six years old and rarely...

Probably a blown pico fuse on the circuit board, convergence amplifier issue, or blown HOT transistor. Could also be a solder connection on the pc board other bad component. Count the blinks and note any pauses in blinking. This could be a trouble code. Type into google your tv and model number and the words "troublecode ## " if you had one or "steady blinking green light" if it just continuously blinks wit no pauses. See where that takes you... Hope that helps some.

continuous blinking green light indicates that the capacitors have failed on the DM pwb. You need the V26 DLP DM repair kit which is available at the following link under their repair category.
