If everything else is working there are three common issues, magnetron,"heats food" high voltage diode, and the high voltage capacitor, "usually shorts" depending on age, probably more practical to replace microwave oven.

Is this an over the stove type unit? I have had a few problems with my over the range spacesaver. I think the heat from cooking gets up into the microwave and damages it. The steam from me boiling things on the stove had mine quit heating and I purchased a new one. The parts to replace the faulty ones can be quite expensive over $150.00, so its better to purchase a new microwave.
Hi Thanks for using FixYa. Microwave not heating properly is caused by a power relay going bad, cold solder joint on the board and/or magnetron (this is only if it makes a loud hum/buzz sound). Also the door hooks and the door-release button should be checked. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
Most of the time the magnetron is defective if the food is not heating up.
In some cases there is a defective low power transformer or other componenents associated with the magnetron.
I would suggest to check the owners manual under the warranty section. Sometimes the magnetron has 5 years warranty.
Good Luck.
