Question about Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8 Digital Camera
I have a panasonic DMC FZ8 and have noticed that when taking a photo in bright light a white shadow or smudge is produced either at the left of the pic or at the top. I'm not sure if this is a reflection or too much light is getting in but I'm trying to avoid having it serviced, any suggestions on how to fix it? Is it possibly just a setting? Thanks!!
It sounds like it could be one of the settings showing the histogram - Check by taking picture in a different mode this should disappear.

Please ensure the drives are installed properly. You should be having these in the installation kit, that comes bundled with the camera. Then try downloading the images
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8 stores images in an SD Type memory device. You can remove the SD memory out and insert it to a card reader. You can get it for as low as Rs 150. This is just an workaround.

Do not insert cell or battery in your camera & do not try to switch ON the camera. otherwise it will harm your device.Send your device for repair, there is no other way to fix the problem.

You cannot clean the inside of the lens. If it must be cleaned, it needs to be disassembled by a Panasonic service center, cleaned, reassembled and re-calibrated, and then returned to you at an enormous cost. You need to determine if it's worth it.
