Question about GE Profile PSW26P Stainless Steel Side by Side Refrigerator
Can't tell if it is TFS22PP or TFS525PP or TFS28PP. The leaking only happens occassionally with no prompting from getting water, making ice. Ice maker is turned off to see if that made a difference. It didn't. We just see water on the floor all of a sudden. It seems to come from the side/front. Not the back.

I have the same issue - call GE, give them your frig model number and they can get you the part nmber of the valve. GE charges about $75 with shipping - you can find it on line for about $45 - I went with GE original parts....it's a pretty easy repiar.

You can lift the lever in the ice hopper to turn off the unit, or simply unplug the electrical connection to the ice maker inside the fridge. If your leak is in the line between the house supply line and the valve on the icemaker, turning it off will not solve your troubles. If that is the case, you can turn off the supply line valve.

Your ice maker is overflowing and asking for to mush water to make the ice, you may have a real hi water pressure on your water supply
the is a easy way to adjust that but you are going to have to take
your ice maker out
then using a flat head screw driver remove the white square cover
you will see a gear and a adjustment screw and a lever like this
( - I + )
turn the screw to the minus sing a quarter way and install the ice maker back up.
Or a easier way is just closing the water valve before your fridge a little so it wont have so mush pressure and will not fill your ice maker so fast.
the ice maker feel up buy time not buy water level.

I have a GE TFX25ppbaaa refrigerator. The ice maker corkscrew motor would run and provide crushed ice only. The corkscrew motor would not run when the switch was moved to the cubed ice ( half moon) setting.
I replaced the large Light/ water/ crushed ice/cubed ice switch , ( product service number GEH WR55X129 ) ( part number GE 162D6372 PO17 )and it fixed the problem. Cost was about $43.00.
