Problem with Projection Televisions

Bought a Hitachi 50HDA39 Plasma TV in March of 2006. The other day the power went out and won't come back on. Tested the powercord, outlet, etc. and all check out. Downloaded the service manual,

popped the back and ran through the troubleshooting - checking voltage on specific pins - all checked out. Next step is to replace scaler pcb (per manual), but before I purchase I wanted to get more opinions. Any one have this problem?
Thanks for any assistance in advance!

Get out the crowbar. You need to get the chassis at least half way out. You are looking for FP 08 which is one of those small pico type fuse protectors. The line has both overvoltage and short detection, but a short could be intermittant or burned open.

Good Day;

DAVE; Sorry about your problem. .....The TV's board has been damaged by the fluid, causing the PC to have poor/open trace connections. These boards are double trace, circuits top and bottom, so, you have many 'feeds'. You might be able to find some one in your area to repair them. New boards from factory are not available. Some places, factory , will rebuild these boards, it's not an easy fix.
Good Luck, big IRISH.
