Are you sure you don't have the positive and negative power wires reversed?

Does the fuse blow without remote voltage applied?

KLH ASW8 Powered subwoofer keeps blowing 3A-250V fuses

The transistors at the output stage of the sub amplifier circuit might be shorted so each time you power on, the circuit draws a very high amount of current which causes the fuse to blow. It's definitely a problem with the circuit so using a higher current rated fuse would probably just result in damaging the amp even more. You should ask a qualified electronics technician to take a look at it. I hope you can fix it.

I have a 02 electral glide ultra classic that keeps blowing the accessories fuse. as soon as i put a new 15 amp fuse in it blows. turn signals, brake lights and the spped odometer stop working.

In this case, you're going to need a wiring schematic to trouble shoot the problem. You'll have to disconnect the power lead to each device that the fuse provides power to. Then, replace the fuse and start reconnecting the devices one at the time. When you connect a device and the fuse blows, you have found the problem. I do not have schematics for bikes newer than 1999, I'm sorry.

Good Luck

The fuel injector fuses keeps blowing as soon as i open the ignition switch, it dosent even give me time to turn on the car before it blows again. the car has a new fuel pump installed by jiffy lube about...

There is a short circuit to ground on one of the circuits that the fuse protects. I need more information about your car and exactly which fuse is blowing. (Year, Make, Model, Engine size) All of the circuits powered by that fuse must be traced to find exactly what is causing it to blow. Most of the components can be eliminated as the cause by unplugging them one at a time and checking the fuse connector with a test light. (Otherwise, you could go through a lot of fuses trying to figure it out.)

Power amp for pa system stopped working

Sounds like you have a power supply problem in the amp. I am assuming the fuse you are replacing is intergraterd into the AC connection. You need to dig deeper. If you are not an electronics person you will need a tech.

I have a 25 wat fuse in my power wire connected to my amp and i keep blowing it. should i put a bigger fuse in it?

Hello grabert205,

You do not say if the fuse blows immediately upon powering up or while the amplifier is operating. If it blows immediately, I'd check the power and ground.

If it is blowing the fuse while operating, I'd try a 30A and see if it holds. At maximum output of 100 watts times 4, the amplifier needs about 31 amps of current at 12.8V. So driving it hard could certainly blow a 25A fuse.

Hope this helps.

Have a kenwood kac849 600w amp keep blowing fuse on amp as soon as power is too it power wire got wet and now this can i bypass that fuse some how

It would be very dangerous to bypass a fuse. If it keeps blowing, bypassing the fuse will only create lots of internal damage and maybe a fire as well. The fuse is blowing for a reason, the amplifier is not going to somehow start working because you bypassed the fuse. You also need to stop trying to turn it on, every time it blows the fuse, it keeps stressing the components inside. You have a shorted power supply, probably water damage as well since the power wire got wet.

I repair car amplifiers for a living, and can tell you with all honesty that bypassing the fuse would be a terrible mistake to make, the amplifier would end up being un-fixable with holes burned right into the board.

Please, just take it in for service or get a new amplifier. That is the only sensible thing to do. The amp will not start working bypassing the fuse, it will only start smoking.

Amp keep blowing the 20amp fuse

There seems to be a short circuit inside your amplifier. It could be one of the amplifier mosfer/transistors or a diode that is connected nearby the power input.

Blowing fuses under hood but nothing looks smoked in the amp

Sounds like the amp is fried, most likley in one or both of the output sections. Good luck.
