COD4 Computer Version Troubles

I just got COD4 for the computer and I get this error message when I try to run it:
Error during initialization:
Video card or driver doesn't support UBYTE4N vertex data.
I'm not really sure if I installed DirectX right. Could it be the problem or do i just need a better graphics card?

I already knew why it would come up I just wasn't really sure which it was. Is there any way to check if I installed DirectX properly?

It tells me I have DirectX 10. That works too right?

The error message you got would show up in the following scenarios:
1. DirectX not up-to-date.
2. Video card drivers old.
3. The game being played with a not supported video card.

Check for the above mentioned and it should be either one of them.

To play the game on the least possible settings your video card has to be or meet the performance capabilities of ATI Radeon 9800Pro or better \ NVIDIA Geforce 6600or better

DirectX 9.0c is the version of DirectX the game needs.

To check the DirectX verison you need to access the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, follow the below mentioned to access the tool.

Click "Start", click "Run", type "dxdiag.exe" (without the
quotation marks), and then click "OK" or press the "Windows Key" and "R" (The
"Windows key" is between "Ctrl" and "Alt" keys on your keyboard) and in the
"Run" box type in "dxdiag" (without the quotation marks) and then click
    "OK".

In the DirectX Diagnostic Tool the DirectX Version can be found in the "System" tab (third line from the bottom).

Error message: The video card you are running is not supported

I found the following link for this game's hardware requirements:

http://planetmedalofhonor.gamespy.com/mohairborne/

What this means is that your video card (display adapter), the part that creates the graphical image for your monitor, is not enough to run this game.
You will need to get a discrete video card for the computer is order to play this game.
You didn't post your system's information, but I can help you find a compatible card for your system if you are up to doing it yourself, etc.
Provide your brand (Dell, HP) and model # (Inspiron, Pavilion) as well as your version of windows.

Hello
This is a video device error usually beacause your video card or chipset is not current enough to run the game.
You can try running game on lowest video settings or update your video device drivers.

I cant get the fisherprice IXL software to work on my computer

I was having same problem, trying to install initial software from CD, I kept getting error messages that said to contact Fisher-Price for support. I searched for a while and finally found the mfg. website (Mattel) and download the most up-to-date version from the website... here's the link: http://service.mattel.com/us/technicalproductdetail.aspx?prodno=R9703&siteid=27&catid=520

Once downloaded it installed on my computer without error and all is well...

Unable to Validate Game Version

Two causes for this error meassge either you are not running the latest version of World of Warcraft, or your game files have been modified.

It is possible that you have a virus or program which is modifying files on your computer. Scan your computer with an updated anti virus program to make sure that your machine is clean. Then make sure you are launching the game using Launcher.exe
If none of the above helps they are a few repairing tools that might fix your game, you might want to check "Fix Wareout".

Good luck.
