Question about Toshiba Satellite M45-S165 Notebook

1 Answer

My Toshiba Satellite M45 laptop

Toshiba Satellite M45 laptop powers off when powered on after 3 seconds.
The same result, even after removing all fru's, battery, memory, harddisk, dvd-cdrw, modem, and wireless.
The unit is not overheating, since it is not on long enough to get hot.
Opened chasis, aired out inside, checked/reconnected video, kb connectors

Need your advise,
JRN.

Toshiba Satellite M45-S351 BIOS password needs help!

BIOS passwords on Toshiba notebooks have to be reset by an authorized service technician who has the CD available to run the utility.  Their notebooks don't contain a battery reset to erase the password.  It was done as a safety feature to prevent theft from happening and it is a very good one.
If you take it into Best Buy or a computer dealer to get it done, you might have to prove that you are the new owner of the computer before it can happen.
