I have an f6 code and the machine will not operate once it comes up

The F6 error code means that the computer on the control didnt detect that the motor reached a high speed on the spin cycle, sometimes it thinks the washer didnt spin fast enough because of a loose wire connection either on the motor or the control boards (motor &machine control) if you find that the washer did actually spin at high speed (clothes dont come out sopping wet at the end of cycle) the wire connections or the motor control board will be the potential causes of the F6 error code. Try unplugging the machine for five minutes to let the computer reset then try again. Next check the control panel wires. f6 code flashing on display Kenmore Elite HE3 Washing Machine

How do i know if control board is bad causing a f6 code

If you take the code book out of the washer. Or if you have a service manual. Then go though the code list. it should tell you what the f6 code is. That's how I sound the problem with the problem with the RPM sensor. Replaced it and the machine works fine. It should tell you what part of the machine the code is from.

What does f or f6 mean on a he3

The F06 error code on the HE3 elite is a tachometer error. Per the tech sheet, it says to check all connections and continuity between the MCU, CCU and Drive Motor. You would need a multimeter and be able perform an ohms test on the Motor, the Motor Control Unit, and the Central Control Unit as well. If you have any further questions message me back and please remember when our chat has fully concluded to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation it allows me to continue helping others in similar situations in the future. Thanks again Rick

Gives error code F6 after about two minutes

If this is a Whirlpool Duet, "F06" is a motor speed error. The problem is usually caused by a failure of the Motor Control Unit (MCU), or Drive Motor. The following link explains how to troubleshoot:

Let me know if you require additonal assistance. I hope this helps you.

The following link explains the "F06" error:

It is known as a Motor Speed error. More commonly the motor control unit (MCU) fails. However, you will need to check the drive motor, belt, and Central Control Unit (CCU) to be sure. I hope this helps you.
