Question about Epson Stylus C60 InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Not printing in black

The printer is not printing in black. I got a new cartrige and there is no black ink printing. I tried cleaning and self-tests but nothing is working. The colour is working fine.

After all these years my Epson C60 is suffering from the same problem. The 3 colours are OK but I cannot get the black cartridge to print at all. I have tried all the usual cleaning/alignment options.

I have had the Epson Stylus C60 and it has worked well also. Suddenly, the black ink stopped printing. I replaced the black ink cartridge three times (in case it was a bad cartridge), but no help. The colors print fine. I am probably going to toss this printer if I can't figure it out.

Maybe there is fault in the software and will need a re installation. so remove your printer from the PC and un-install the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and then connect the Printer to be detected and installed. Check printer properties to see the ink levels.
Use head cleaning before a test is taken . It is possible that the head is not reacting to the need of the command , can be an issue with ink drying , can
also be poor ink cartridge contacts

Try unplugging printer from the power and connecting it back.

Printer replaced with black cartridge, and doesnt print

Either the print head for black is faulty, or the wiring to the black print head on carriage are broken. Try also cleaning the metal sensor to the black cartridge inside the ink carriage.

Was this the problem prior to changine the cartriages? If not check the contacts between the machine and the cartriges. there may be tape, ink, papaer in between.
