I have a Gateway T series computer, I am missing a few keys, first is there anyplace I can purchase these keys? Also, if so how can I replace them myself? Note: The keys on my computer are silver, not white or black, and one of the keys, is at the top (function key) in between the scroll key and the Ins key. Help !!!

have you tried replacing the batteries in your Wireless keyboard? it could be that simple as the wireless may be dieing if there is not enough power to send the information of what your typing.. Try this before you change your configurations in Windows.
there are ways to replace laptop keyboards but it is expensive. try going to a computer repair shop, they may have a broken laptop with the same keys as yours. you can also get a external usb keyboard.
If the cat has not eaten the small plastic clips that fixes the key to the keyboard, you are in luck.
Just place the key over the keyboard, align it so it is square with the other keys, push it down firmly until it clicks into place.
If this does not work then you have some missing parts or bent piece of plastic.
If you are game, you can remove an adjoining key by lifting it up, then you can check this key and see if it matches the other key for missing or bent parts.
Your Dell supplier may have replacement keys, if not you will need to replace the whole keyboard.
If you purchased a generic keyboard ( One without a CD supplied) then you just remove the old one from the back of the computer and plug the new one in then turn on the computer. if you bought the one with the CD just do the above procedure but when you turn on the computer put in teh CD and run it. these are essential windows files you will need to reinstall windows in repair mode set bios to boot from cd you will during boot up be asked to press any key to boot from cd press any key when widows loads all its drivers etc windows will ask what you want to do press r for repair and follow instructions during setup windows will reboot a few times when it does do NOT press any key
the enter key might be getting at ur nearest shop of any computer just tell him that ur keys had been broken or plastic piece has been missing he will give u or just go to the repairing shop of computer
