Disk Protect Problem

I have a Sony Mavicap MVC-FDR1. Suddenly, I cannot save to new floppy disks. The "Disk Protect" sign appears on the screen whenever I try to save a photo. If I put in a disk that already has photos on it, I can save additonal photos on that disk. But, you cannot erase an incorrect picture. I have tried to format the disk....will not let me format. I have checked disk type...they are exactly the same as old disks. I have checked...the lock tab is in the unlocked position. What is going on? Is there a setting that can the accessed to remove this protection? Can anyone help?? Thanks, RVerrette

The soft can not a pear just windows black

if you mean that you cant a screen to appear on your computer

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your "((MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE))" make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error even something as small as a faulty electrical extension or fan lead can cause a computer to shutdown

computers need all of the data and electrical current to travel through every working device and to have an end to be able work properly

a motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive if its a flat ribbon 40 pin type IDE replace it this will be the first to fail check all electrical power input and extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd floppy drives need to have current go through make sure these drives are working

also check the Cmos battery and computer ram make sure they are securely seated with no dust built up or in the sockets

and you might not have enough RAM random access memory not having enough will cause your computer to run over its maximum limits and can cause the blue screen of death and hang also uninstall some unnecessary programs and run the chkdsk utitlity
control panel administrive tools, computer management ,disk management right click on your drive select properties click tools you should see click check now click start two boxes automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in both boxes then select check now, start should schedule this task when restart

you should have no input while the chkdsk utility is I progress any input might damage your computer

then defragment your hard drive
scroll to the bottom toolbar (bottom of screen) right click you can select task manager applications also processes you will see whats running on your computer you might have virus slowing your computer also select users you will see who is using your computer
download and run a registry cleaner cc cleaner is 100%free

if you need any more help with this post a reply

hope this helps you

Hi all P.3 onboard lan how to disable in bios its a 2.8gig with 1gig ram its say's the lan is not right and can not boot?

While booting your PC, watch the screen, it'll say something akin to press DEL for setup or F2 for boot menu.

Its the setup bit you want, takes you into the bios.

Read carefully the directions on the bios screen, they will show you how to change the settings.

Once in the bios, go to the boot options part of the menu and reset the boot order.

I'd suggest 1st) Disk drive, 2nd) HDD , 3rd) External or what option you think best.

This will direct your PC to look for a boot file in the Disk drive first, HDD second and ? third.

Once set up press F10 to save and exit

Memory stick duo reads full but it is not really that full

There is a reserved amount of unused space that is required for files used to run it.

Think of it this way,A blank disk will show nothing.Add a one word document and write protect the disk,It will show the disk is full,Even though you know it only has one word written to it.

Please rate this a fixya
