I have a flat screet TV - ILO purchased about two years ago from Walmart... never had a problem until now. For the past week the valume kind of vanishes and today is not working at all. You can acctually see the picture but the valume even though is at 50 is really like nothing. Can you please help me?

most of the new TV's use a SCAT plug to allow connection of a PC or laptop. I doubt that this TV has that sophistication. The ISB will not do it and neither will S VIDEO.
As for the cable you could try a male to male plug to mnake a coaxial connection. These TV's were made to a price for walmart and you got what you paid for which was a cheap TV. There was no warranty offered by Walmart for these either
It's the #1 plaguing issue with flat panel TV in all brands. So, don't believe that ILO is the only brand with the problem. 90% of all TVs only have a 1 year warranty. It's always best to get the extended warranty if possible on flat panel TVs now. Most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. It's possible that it maybe a bad capacitor or transformer on the power supply board. Or, it maybe something simple like a blown fuse inside the TV.The most common thing to go out on flat panel TVs is the circuit board that supply power to the screen. Commonly called a Backlight Inverter Board. But, I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet. I can only make guesses with the symptom.
You have a few choices: 1. You can try leaving the TV unplugged for 30 minutes so the TV can reset itself. 2. If you have some electronic experience, if you can find and purchase a Service Manual over the internet; It will help you diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists.Usually, cost under $20. And most cases the new part cost less than $15. 3. Pay a TV shop to do the repairs. It maybe costly, but get an estimate of how much they will charge. That way you can decide if it worth repairing or replacing the whole TV. I hope I shed some light on the subject for you.
The Problem is with the Capasiters in the power supply bord a total of 9 caps have to be replaced the power supply bord is the one on the right side of the tv in the back where the power cable enters the caps values are 35 volt 1000uf x2 35 volt 470uf x3 16 volt 1000uf x3 and 16 volt 470uf x1 after replaceing thses caps the tv will work like new... i hope this helps.
