Sanyo VPC-E7 digital camera

The camera won't take photos. When switched on it comes up with 'system error' and then switches off.
It will let you see what is on the memory card in viewing mode.

Solutions for "system error" problems

The system error can be a problem in the systems control board, "the brains of the camera" or it has detected a problem in the lens housing which is more than likely, but to get to the bottom of the problem will require a professional to make the determination and it will be costly something to think about if you decide to go ahead with the repair.

When i turn on the camera it says system error. how to solve this?

The problem is in the systems control board and usually an error of this nature is bad news because the systems control is the brains of the camera and controls every working stage, to repair this will probably exceed what the camera is worth.

You have loaded images previously- so it works OK huh! Your are Windows XP/2000 -tell me Remove any software you may have loaded that came with the camera, Now plus the camera in, switch it to the 'upload position' and it should appear in my computer as an extra drive - and/or Camera/Scanner wizard will come up and ask what to do next. If you have the CD - there is a manual on it in PDF format- you do not need any software to load images.
