You didn't delete the sound device itself... You deleted the software telling your computer how to run the physical sound device on your motherboard. If you know what the name of the one you have is.. you can go out to the manufacturers website and download it's drivers. If your using a Major brand computer chances are the drivers exist at the computer manufactures website under their support section for the model of computer you have.

yOU THINK?So just do this to confirm that you have done everything right.Do this right click on "MY COMPUTER" select PROPERTIES. Then click on HARDWARE tab and click on DEVICE MANAGER.Now from the list click double-click on SOUND VIDEO AND GAME CONTROLLERS.If you see an exclamation mark next to any device then it means that particular device was not set up correctly.Do this and let me know..And I will guide you further
Reinstall the sound drivers for you particular sound device. You can download the drivers free at the manufacturer of the devices website.
