Question about Sanyo DRW-1000 DVD Recorder/VCR
I was copying a VHS tape to DVD and the player suddenly stoped working. Ever since that the VHS works just fine, it will still play CDs, but it will not read DVDs. When a disc is inserted, it says "Reading" for quite a while, then ejects the disc and says "Unknown disc, check disc again". It does this with both purchased DVDs and DVDs that I had previously burnt on the same player. I thought this was odd because it still plays CDs, which leads me to believe it is not a problem with the lens. I have not tried to resolve the problem in any way other than using compressed air to try and blow off the lens, which made no difference. Please help.
I have a drw 1000 same problem reasd cds but not dvd's this firm ware is it a file I can down load to a disk from my computer and then put it into the dvd player as a disk?
is this a scam from sanyo?
