Most of the faults are pump related.
check the Ohms reading on pump should be 33- 35
If readings are less change your pump.

My fisher and paykel smart drive 5.5 went pop , power went off all lights stopped and i got a slight smell of electrical burn from near the top i think . it was full of water and at the end of a wash...

You need to remove the top panel to have the visual of the burnt section. If this is the main board then you might have to replace the board.
if this is from any valve, pump or motor , then it must be checked if the unit can be repaired or replaced.

My Fisher and Paykel 5.5 Smart Drive washing machine Model No: MW059AU just went dead mid cycle. Cannot get any lights to come on.

Hi just read your posting. On your model of machine the 3 reasons that the machine does not power up are ,your power point is dead, check with a small appliance, your drain pump is faulty,or the control module is faulty.Did you smell any burning smell near the machine? Is the machine full of water? To check the pump you need a multimeter to check the windings or look under the machine to the front right and you will see a fan. This is your pump.Check with a torch on the pump for corrosion or any burning smell near it.Please reply with additional information on the questions and what the condition of the pump is.Looking forward to your reply.

I have a fisher paykel GWL10 washing machine. It shuts off while

At this stage i can suggest that the inlet valve may be faulty & giving off this burning the control box & see if one of the 2 inlet valves look distorted or brown or burnt looking.I'm wondering if it's not filling very fast also, this could also be an indication of the valve.

Fisher & paykel waterpump / Burnt smell clothing

ok, have you checked for power at the power point? if you have power to the machine and the display doesn't light up after you have turned the power point on then your control module is faulty. only the phase 5 models don't power up if the pump is faulty, your machine is a phase 2 with a blue control module. by the way, what part of the machine did you pull apart? i think your pump was faulty which made the control module faulty. check the pump for a burning smell. if it is burnt then i"m sure your module is too. please reply if you need more help to fix this problem.please turn off the power b4 you work on it, don"t want any accidents . good luck.

GWL11 Burned Up?!?!

Go and look at my issue on Eco Smart that won't drain.

Unplug washer. Bail out water as much as you can. Look for water dripping in black motor area. If you find that, read on to see if this is your issue.

You can take off black motor/white housing all in one piece. On mine, water was dripping from white plastic housing and onto motor. had small amt of water leak out, then wouldn't run at all and smelled like electrical issue. Look for white chip on upper rim of that white plastic housing where it attaches to machine bottom. Push in on clip, and give the whole white plastic thing a twist and it comes off--motor and white plastic. Unhook electric couplers.

You either have 120V or 240V (mine is older GWL10US model) unit. White plastic and black motor are one unit when ordered. Save yourself the service call that I paid. Good luck!

could be clogged drain. look at my issue "eco smart won't drain, smells hot" on how to remove motor from bottom of washer and check lower drainage area. bail water out first and be ready to catch water when you remove that motor unit.

Smart drive

hi - does the control panel light up as normal? If it does, and everything else is working of sorts, then it is likely a motor is burnt out and you will need someone to come and investigate / replace it.
