If you mean you cannot access the bios due to a password protection, open the case and remove the battery for 1 minute and then replace it, this should clear the bios password so you can access the bios setup.

There are couple of way where you can retrieve your password. But it's a professional system admin work it's not easy job. So the best think is for you is to recover your data from computer. If u r using desktop then it's your HDD take it out and make that primary go thru with procedure as instructed on hardware hope this will help best of luck

When I turn my computer (aspire one *acer*) on it shows up saying "Harddisk Security" -Primary Master Hitachi HTS543216L9ALock

The hard disk is locked. Since you weren't the one that activated the hdd password it means that the hdd is defective - you will have to replace it and reinstall using an external CD_ROM unit and the recovery disk that you must get from here

Hey everyone during my installation of win 7 ultimate 64x my install froze on expanding (at 0%) after a few hours I assumed it had failed so I restarted the computer. Of course I get the bootmgr is missing...

Hi hermand25
I was about to suggest you to format the hdd when i fell on your last sentence . I think you don't have any other choice , but you can't format it from your pc . Place it in an external box or inside another healthy computer as secundary. When done , you will be able to install Windows on the hdd placed back in your computer . I suppose your machine supports 64-systems ?
Best regards ,

I forgot my HP window 7 password and don't have a back up disk what do I do??

HI there,

Working from a computer that will burn a CD, you need to download "Hiren's Boot CD" for the link below and burn it to a CD. When you power on your computer with the forgotten password, insert the CD and restart. To access the Boot Device Options window, turn on the computer and immediately press the esc key to display the Startup Menu, and then press the F9 key. Then choose to boot from the cd/dvd drive.

Hiren's is a free tool CD and is awesome. It will break in and let you change your windows, BIOS, HDD pasword and do about 100+ other amazing things.

Now you save all your friends' *A--es* too.

Enjoy,

You can use AOMEI Partition Assistant to clone your 60 gb hard disk to your 160gb directly. you can also use it to migrate your os to another disk if you don't want to clone the entire disk. http://www.disk-partition.com/copy-disk-partition-wizard.html

Error message when I openmy computer:

-Take a look in your BIOS console to see if your primary boot device is connected and shown in the list.

-if yes then, bootsector on primary boot device is missing, and you might have to connect this HDD to a different computer and back your data up, and then connect it back to your computer and run the windows recovery. make sure you scan for bad sectors after your system is up and running.

-if no, then shut your computer off and groud yourself and take all the precautions for static and open the cabinet and make sure that your primary boot disk is securely connected to the motherboard and power connector is firmly connected to it (you can try switching the cables to see if its an issue with the cables, motherboard ports or power supply)

hope this helps you to pin point the issue..

Admin pasword for xp rapair?

You have to know about your primary admin password, that was given in the time of xp installation progress. This only password prompted in the repair option.

If you didnt enter the password at the time of installation. you can go easily without the password in Repair option.
