My Fargo Pro-lx prints ok, but when the card arrives to laminating fase, the card stucks and the printer send an error message.
I did check the temperature by the software and increase it to check if that solve the problem, but doesn't work.
I will appreciate any idea to solve this problem.

Try Updating the firmware on the printer and the lamination module.
Go to HIDglobal.com. Under the support tab, click drivers & downloads. Populate the drop down menus with make and model.
The most recent software is shown here. Go to the section "Misc." and download Fargo Workbench. This utility enables you to update the printer by automatically pulling the most recent version off the Manufacturers website. Very Useful.
I had the Pro-lx drivers installed for a Pro-L and once I found the Pro-L drivers, I deleted the other drivers completely and uninstalled the printer and redid it with the right drivers and it works perfectly.
Open the left hand top cover, In between the ribbon rollers you will see a small flipper, ( small piece of metal with a wheel stuck on one end. ) Maually turn this so the grey wheel is on top and white smaller wheel on the bottom.
This ocassional gets jammed and need righting manually.
It sounds like you may need to calibrate the ribbon sensor.
Go to the driver icon in your printers folder.
Right click on the Pro-L driver's icon, and select "Printing Preferences".
Click on the "Advanced" button in the lower right corner. A new window will open.
Scroll to the bottom and you will see "Calibrate...". Click on that and a button appears next to it that says "Properties...". Click the "Properites" button and another window appears.
On this screen, you'll see a button on the right side that says "Sensors...". Click on it, and yet another window opens. Almost there.
Here, you'll see two sections. The top section is for calibrating the ribbon sensor, the bottom is for the lamination sensor. Remove the ribbon and close the lid. Click on the "Send" button in the top section to calibrate the ribbon sensor. Your printer should beep twice.
After that, hit cancel on the previous windows to close out everything.
Normally this fixes this kind of problem, but if it doesn't, then there is something broke in the printer, possibly the sensor itself.
I cant even get my cards to print the lamination on there. Can you please help me!.. Can you show me pics on how you installed the Lamination rolls. Also is there a special driver you installed or option you clicked beside the over laminate one. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
My printer is Fargo DTC550 and I'm using HID 1326 card for printing. I cannot get this equipment to function correctly. I had no
problems installing the software and hooking up the printer to make the ID
cards, but all attempts to print an ID card have failed. Every card I have
tried to make has been unsatisfactory, with colours not printing, very poor
image quality, and the lamination device consistently jamming for every
single card I have tried to make.
Sir, please help me.
