Question about Toshiba Satellite L25-S119 Notebook

Settings All of a sudden red blocks appear on my email screens and they cover the advertisments and prevent me from signing in. I have called my internet service provider and they stated that it is a problem with the settings on my computer. I need to know how to set it so that the red blocks will disappear.

I'm sure you've shut down your computer by now, seeing as it was 7 days ago. If you are still having this problem...can you tell me what else is going on? what led up to the red blocks? What were you doing prior to?

Go into your "settings" and change the time delay for as long as you can get. If windows 8, right click on color of screen and bar will appear at bottom. Click the icon at right, you'll get ALL programs and find settings. Take it from there.

If u are using chrome then search for adblock extension in chrome store and install it. It will block most of pop ups and ads on chrome and firefox.

Gmail comes with 11 fonts, 70 colors (both for text and highlighting,) four font sizes, bold, italics and underline text styles.

All of these can be used to format an email, but they must be applied manually every time you write an email.

By utilizing Google Mail Labs, however, you can set Gmail to format an email automatically to any text style.

Sign into your Gmail account.
Access Google Mail Labs. Start by clicking on "Settings" at the top right part of the Gmail homepage.

On the Settings page that appears, click on the "Labs" tab, which is the fourth tab from the right.
Enable Default Text Styling.

Scroll down the alphabetical list until you find "Default Text Styling," and then click on "Enable." Scroll to the top and click on "Save Changes" under the Mail Labs introduction.

Your computer's browser will refresh.
Click on "Settings" at the top right portion of the Gmail homepage.

On the Settings page that appears, you will see a Default Text Styling option under the "General" tab.

The box will look just like the formatting box in an email.
Set the text style of your choosing.

You can reset the text style by clicking on the underlined T with a red X on it.
Click on "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.

The browser should refresh.

When i skype people they cannot hear me

When I try to log on to my email, my id and password are accepted but the email pagee is blank.When I log on from another computer no problem.


One of the following reasons could be giving rise to your problem.Take suggested actions giv against each.

1. Your browser must be blocking the popups --> Disable popup blocker.
2. Your browser could be preventing java scripts from being run. --> Enable java script for this site in your browser settings.
3. The site being opened after login is perhaps blocked by your antivirus software --> Check the list of blocked addresses in your browser or antivirus.

The only reason I see is one of the above as the page is displayed when you login from another computer. The problem must be in settings of your browser or firewall/antivirus applications.

Goto TOOLS/ACCOUNTS
Double click your account.
Select SERVERS on the top of the tabs
Down the bottom of that page, make sure "My server requires authentication" is ticked.

See how you go with that.
